If This Vinyl was manufactured in Japan, it would most certainly be very expensive, an Obi Strip or Import tag, stamp duties, customs & excise, inevitably reflects heightened monetary valuations, as most music collectors, stockists & traders, the world over, would attest. Here we have a Brand New 1991 import Vinyl LP 33 1/3 rpm, bought opened from Gladys Record Shop, Stoke Newington, London N16, several decades ago, in it's very rawest/ ageing outer sleeve state, though the most centric pivotal media format, the Vinyl's condition is as Near Mint/ NM+, as acquired from the aforementioned selfless & exemplary retailer. The superficial sleeve's attributes are reflective of the "many rivers" this Vinyl had crossed to reach these Western Shores in UK & for these reasons I have a pending quotation to "Vacum Pack" the Vinyl for further preservations, consequently meaning the online images could change to accomodate the sought after presentation. After all, this is arts & if you doubt my opinions. I happily welcome you to yours. The artwork on this Vinyl's cover were designed over 30 yrs ago, by the eminent African artist, illustrious illustrator, Lemi Ghariokwu who has for over 50 years/since the 70s worked on at least 30 of Fela's Albums artwork amongst others. Given the facts Island Records was sold in 1989, to Polygram and this Legendary Artist's Masterpiece was duely authenticated with diligence of duties stamps bearing Polygram Records in as clearly legible as ink, could possibly have been, 30 yrs ago, comprehensively detailed on the outer sleeve and vinyl. Manufactured & distributed in the Most Populous Black Country, Nigeria, a Common-Wealth Nation. As such & in total compliancce with the paraphrased lyrical content, we humbly consider this rare/vintage from USA independence day-led, 4th July 1959, founded Island Records, in Jamaica, to the Parent Company of UMG via Polygram Nigeria, as worthy of a Deputy's Stamp Duties shot, in Antiquities Trade.
